The reeds, Vandoren V12 are cut from tubes of reeds of diameter equivalent to that used for the reeds of saxophone alto. The V12 are so thick to the 2 ends of the reeds traditional Vandoren. The reed V12 vibrate on a long palette, and they provide a sound that is rich and deep. The end thicker the reed gives body to the attack and also increases its longevity.
